Space Pioneer Passes Away
China’s most prominent astrophysicist Qian Xuesen, widely
acclaimed as the country’s “father of space technology,” died of
natural causes on October 31 at the age of 98.
Due to Qian’s groundbreaking theories, the central government
was inspired to form the aviation industry committee in 1956,
a forerunner of today’s missile and aviation programs. |
