CHINA QUESTIONS

ABSTRACT: China has always been steadfast in maintaining world peace. It has been actively participating in resolving international conflicts instead of posing any threat to the world. In order to realize the country’s sustainable, rapid and healthy development, China’s new central leadership has put forward the scientific outlook on development and is committed to deepening reform and opening up, developing the economy and solving issues directly bearing on people’s livelihood, such as prices, environmental protection, education and health care. In the process of building an innovation-oriented country, China has put forward an ambitious goal to quadruple the per-capita GDP of 2000 by 2020. In order to ensure that all its people share the fruits of development, China is striving to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor and correct regional imbalances.
